Safety officers on Arizona job sites

Arizona’s state plan adopts the federal OSHA standards, which means the safety program you run in Nevada travels.

Arizona is a short drive from Las Vegas and, unlike California, its safety rules track the federal ones closely – so the work Region 9 does every day in Nevada carries over almost unchanged. We provide safety officers and site safety management on Arizona projects, working within the general contractor's program.

  • Full-time or part-time safety officers assigned to a project
  • Site inspections and audits, with written findings
  • Incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Subcontractor safety oversight on multi-employer sites
  • OCIP and CCIP wrap-up support
  • Toolbox talks and site orientations, in English or Spanish
How Arizona differs from Nevada

Arizona runs its own state plan – the Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health, part of the Industrial Commission of Arizona – covering private employers plus state and local government. ADOSH adopts the federal OSHA standards by reference, so the standard your crew is held to in Phoenix is substantially the standard they are held to in Las Vegas.

Arizona does keep its own standards in a handful of areas, including fall protection, compressed gas, commercial driving operations, agriculture, field sanitation and hand-held equipment. Those are the places to look first when a Nevada crew crosses the line, and they are the places we look.

Arizona also has no equivalent of Nevada's statutory OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 card mandate. Cards are still commonly required by contract – but in Arizona that requirement comes from your general contractor, not the legislature.
